Peter Kay latest star to snub the Brits

Peter Kay is refusing to attend this year's Brit Awards because he doesn't want to spend time with "London tossers".
The comedian, nominated for Best Single for (Is This The Way To) Amarillo, has agreed to provide the voice-overs for the ceremony. A studio is currently being constructed in Manchester for the star at a cost of £10,000.
"It will be really embarrassing if he wins as the camera will have to pan to him in a booth in Manchester doing the links," an insider told The Mirror. "It shows how important he is that the show is going to him."
David Gray and Oasis are also threatening to snub the awards, while Will Young has claimed that he would avoid the ceremony if he wasn't forced to go.
