The Scottish singer, who scored at least one top ten hit in every decade from the 1960s to the 2000s, has not released an album of new material since 2005's covers collection A Little Soul In Your Heart.
However, in an interview to promote her new BBC daytime show Rewind The '60s, she told Digital Spy that she has two separate musical projects "in the pipeline".
"One is to go over to the States to work with a really big producer called Peter Asher. The other is to work with Diane Warren again," she revealed. "I went over last year and did a little bit with her, but it was never completed so it's just kind of hanging."
Despite her enthusiasm for the collaborations, Lulu admitted that she had no idea as to when the projects will come to fruition.
"There will be something, but you know, I don't think the world's crying out for another Lulu album at the moment."
Rewind The '60s airs daily this week at 9.15am on BBC One.
