Take That LP posts huge sales

Take That 'Progress'
Take That's new album Progress has become the fastest selling album of the century, according to official figures.

The Official Charts Company confirmed that the fully-reunited group's LP has sold over 235,000 copies.

The one-day sales figure marks the biggest first day sales for an album this century and the highest number since Oasis's Be Here Now sold over 350,000 in 1997.

"This is a phenomenal achievement from an already phenomenally successful band,"
Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot said.

The LP's lead single 'The Flood' charted at number two in the UK last week.
