Their performance at RockNess will be one of a number of appearances for the band across the UK festival circuit next summer, with Kasabian also announced as headlining the Isle of Wight festival.
"We really wanted a big rock band and in Kasabian we have the biggest rock band in the UK today," RockNess director Jim King explained to BBC Newsbeat.
"I'm buzzing at the prospect," Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan said following the announcement. "I don't know what to expect but everyone I know has come back with loads of stories to tell."
Among the other acts currently announced for the 2011 RockNess lineup are the Chemical Brothers and Paolo Nutini.
The festival begins on June 10, 2011, and tickets go on sale at the end of this month.
