Geldof, who co-wrote the Band Aid charity single with Midge Ure, said that he is sick of hearing the festive track everywhere he goes during December.
According to Australia's The Daily Telegraph, Geldof said: "I am responsible for two of the worst songs in history. One is 'Do They Know It's Christmas?', the other one is 'We Are The World'.
"Any day soon, I will go to the supermarket, head to the meat counter and it will be playing. Every f**king Christmas."
Geldof added that carol singers even include the track alongside more traditional songs when they perform outside his house every year.
"They think 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' is as old as 'Silent Night'," he said. "Sometimes I think that's wild because I wrote it. Or else I am thinking how much I want them to stop because they are doing it really badly."
