O Holy Night sold 239,000 copies in its release week and reached number two on the US Billboard 200.
Sales of the 10-year-old singer's album make her the highest selling debut artist of the year so far.
"Jackie Evancho is one of the purest and finest vocalists I've ever heard, and the initial response to her debut release has been phenomenal," Columbia Records Chairman Steve Barnett told The Hollywood Gossip.
Evancho became a nationwide sensation following her performances as a contestant on this year's fifth season of NBC show America's Got Talent.
