Busted star clashes with ex-bandmate

James Bourne has been threatened with a restraining order after clashing with a former bandmate.

The star was attending a nightclub launch on Wednesday night when he spotted Ki Fitzgerald, who left Busted before the group had their big break. Fitzgerald claims to have written some of the band's biggest hits and is currently pursuing legal action.

A source told The Mirror, "It was daggers at dawn when James and Ki laid eyes on each other. It was obvious there is a lot of tension there. After about half an hour, James squared up to Ki. He got right in his face threatening to knock him out and saying Ki's new band wouldn't get a deal as they're s***."

Fitzgerald decided to go home following the incident and later contacted the police.

"We were called by a man at 2.37am," a spokesperson for the Met explained. "He didn't pursue criminal allegations but wanted the police to be aware of an ongoing civil dispute. We will be taking no further action."

A representative for Ki added, "A letter has been sent to James's lawyers saying we will be forced to take out a restraining order if it happens again."
