The group, whose second LP Outta This World was held off the top spot in last week's chart by the Progress singers, kicked off their UK tour last night in Scotland.
"I used to play the piano and I'm going to take it up again," J.B Gill told the Daily Star. "I feel like I've lost touch with it and I want to be able to play it on stage as well as on future albums."
Marvin Humes added: "We all want to play our own instruments. We want to take the band forward. Take That inspired us."
He continued: "We've already decided what we're playing. I'm playing drums and Oritsé is on guitar."
Humes joked that bandmate Aston Merrygold won't need an instrument.
"Aston's instrument is his dance moves - his back-flips," he said.
