A remix of Leo Sayer's Thunder In My Heart has given the star his first number one in 29 years.

The dance reworking of the track by a DJ named Meck has pushed rap hit Nasty Girl down to number two in the UK singles' chart.

Sayer – whose version of the song only got to number 22 – has said the comeback was "a lovely miracle".

Celebrity Big Brother star Preston's Ordinary Boys have held on at number three with their Boys Will Be Boys re-release, and US R&B youngster Chris Brown's Run It is at four.

The Arctic Monkeys have remained at one in the albums chart, followed by James Blunt and Richard Ashcroft.
