The duo's 1984 hit 'Last Christmas' - written by George Michael - has been named the top downloaded festive track in the world.
The figures, collected by Nokia's OVI music store, place Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' - which re-entered the UK singles chart last week at 22 - as the second most popular, with Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas' completing the top three.
Other placings included Band Aid's 'Do They Know It's Chrismas?' at four, while Elvis Presley took three spots on the chart.
2010 marks a record year for new Christmas number contenders, including Hurts' 'All I Want For Christmas Is News Year's Day', Coldplay's 'Christmas Lights' and George Michael's 'December Song', which is due for re-release on December 13.
It was recently reported that this year's X Factor winner's song remains the favourite to take the Christmas top spot.
