X Factor winner Matt Cardle released Biffy Clyro's track 'Many of Horror' this week as his winning single, under the title 'When We Collide', and the song is currently at number one in the UK download chart.
When asked about how X Factor boss Simon Cowell discovered the song, band members James and Ben Johnston admitted it was simply down to the relatively small size of the music industry.
"He said it was a great song and [Cardle] should use it," Ben told Australian radio station Undercover. "The whole thing's a bit surreal, we think it's all quite funny."
When asked for their honest opinion about Cardle's version of their song, the band simply joked: "It is an X Factor version of the song".
Fans of the band have launched an online campaign to beat Cardle to number one by buying Biffy Clyro's original version instead.
