The change was made after the band's drummer Simon Gilbert came down with flu, the radio station confirmed.
Anderson told XFM: "I'm absolutely devastated about this. I spoke to Simon earlier and he sounded terrible and I trust him when he says he is genuinely unable to play tonight.
"Fans of Suede know that cancelling shows is never an option. Playing a couple of acoustic songs was way down my list in terms of what I wanted to be doing tonight, but hopefully the gesture will be taken the right way."
Anderson will take to the stage after receiving the 'XFM Inspiration Award'. Other acts confirmed for tonight's show include Mona, The Drums, Two Door Cinema Club, White Lies and Manic Street Preachers.
