Wire defends Biffy Clyro for Cardle track

The Manic Street Preachers bassist told XFM that the "brilliance" of the song is what matters most, and that modern bands can struggle financially.
He said: "You can't stop a song from being a brilliant song. You can't stop a runaway train. It's not easy for bands to make money these days."
Biffy Clyro had earlier described the cover as "surreal" and "funny" this week.
Cardle is currently on course to be 2010's Christmas number one, which will be announced on Sunday.
