Beck producing Sonic Youth singer's LP

Beck has signed to produce and perform on the upcoming album from Sonic Youth frontman Thurston Moore.

Moore recorded the LP, titled Benediction, in Beck's Southern California home.

"Beck sings and plays a little bit on it," he told Philadelphia Weekly.

Violinist Samara Lubeski and harpist Mary Littimore will also feature on the release.

Beck and Moore previously worked together on a cover of Yanni’s Live at the Acropolis.

Benediction, Moore's third solo album, will be released by Matador Records sometime next year.
