The band called time on their 25-year career by performing a sell-out gig at The O2 Arena in London last night.
At the end of the final song of the evening, frontman Mick Hucknall announced: "Good night, adios, Simply Red are no more," before walking off stage.
Earlier on in the performance, Hucknall told the crowd: "I want to thank you so much for your support over the last 25 years. It's been the most wonderful ride."
Simply Red have sold 55 million records worldwide and racked up 31 Top 40 singles in the UK.
