The singer, who kicked off his 'Welcome To America' tour in the city's Madison Square Garden arena last weekend, asked a number of friends in the audience to sing on stage with him.
Contact Music reports that the 'Purple Rain' star was joined by singer and actor Jamie Foxx, Alicia Keys, model Naomi Campbell and actress Whoopi Goldberg for the gig.
The icon performed a number of classic tracks, including 'Cream', 'Shhh', and 'Kiss' to the sold-out crowd, stating, "This is my house now" as he left the stage.
Prince is due to perform at the same venue later this month, before playing a series of dates across the States.
