The singer, who is working on the follow-up to 2009's Echo, said that she is in the 'creating' stage of her new LP, and revealed that the record has been influenced by personal events over the last year.
Posting on her official Twitter page, she said: "Starting 2 create the new album!
"So much has happened this passed year, I have so much to sing about write about I'm so excited bunnies ha!"
The last 12 months have seen Lewis split with her long term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa, embark on a ten-date arena tour across the UK and promote a number of animal rights charity projects.
It was recently reported that Lewis was 'experimenting' with her sound for her third record.
