The follow-up to 2008's The Seldom Seen Kid will be called Build A Rocket, Boys and will be released on March 7, 2011.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, frontman Guy Garvey said: "I didn't know whether it was good or not for a couple of weeks, but I'm very happy with it now."
The band support the release with a full UK arena tour in March 2011.
