The British supermodel, who has dabbled in the industry with guest appearances on tracks by Oasis, Primal Scream and ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty's band Babyshambles, is said to be seeking guidance from rocker partner Jamie Hince as she pens material for her debut solo record.
A source told the Daily Mail: "Kate’s fashion days are winding down and she’s no longer designing for Topshop, so her dream is to record an urban album."
Commenting on claims that Moss is set to drastically renovate their home in order to fulfill her dream, a spokesperson for Kills guitarist Hince stated: "Jamie is concentrating on making the new album in Detroit and has no plans to build a recording studio."
Moss previously expressed her desire to help X Factor star Cher Lloyd launch a fashion or music career.
