The musician told the Daily Mail that she did not have enough influence to cause the legendary rock band to part ways in 1970.
"The Beatles were a group made up of four very complex men, and my small hand could not have broken these men up. They broke up because they had reached an end, but in doing so they all also created new wonderful beginnings," she said.
Ono also credited Lennon's bandmate Paul McCartney with patching up her relationship with her husband during a brief split in 1973 by urging both parties to work though their differences.
After decades of media reports detailing their supposed frosty relationship, the 'Walking On Thin Ice' singer now contends that she and McCartney are on good terms.
"Paul has a very sweet side and he and I have made our peace," she insisted. "We are both business partners in Apple, and we speak and things are good between us.
"We know each other very well, and while we've had differences in the past, there was never a rift as people think. It was never so black and white."
Ono previously suggested that if Lennon had lived, he "would have loved" Lady GaGa.
