Beyonce plans new solo album for summer

Beyonce Knowles has said that she is planning to record and release a new album next summer, in between her busy filming schedule.

Beyonce currently has a very busy filming schedule, having just finished appearing in this year's remake of The Pink Panther, and she is currently in the process of filming Dreamgirls. However the former Destiny's Child star says that she wants to get back into the recording studio as soon as the film wraps.

She explained: "I'm going to try and do an album after the movie. I want to put the album out in the summer, which means I have six weeks to record it after the movie (is completed).

"But I've done that with just about every album, so we'll see if it happens again."
