Nicole Scherzinger has described her forthcoming album as "dangerous".

The singer, who is gearing up for the release of her as-yet-untitled debut solo set this year, admitted that she is "proud" of the record, and is full of uptempo numbers that lend themselves to exciting live performances.

"I miss the Dolls, my girls - our energy was really fun and electric when we were on stage together," she told Music Rooms.

"But I’m loving the music, I think the music speaks for itself and I’m really proud of the album I’m making. I feel like this music is really a full, live performance and really dangerous.

"So I am taking it to a whole other place and I am really enjoying that."

Scherzinger's last solo effort Her Name Is Nicole was shelved in 2009 after a number of setbacks.
