The singer, who is gearing up for the release of her debut solo single 'Now Or Never', said that she plans to spend the year travelling to make herself known in the UK.
"I love the spontaneity of the job," she told RWD Magazine. "One minute I'm in the studio, the next I'm at a shoot.
"One thing I plan to be doing more of in 2011 is travelling - and one thing I plan to do less of is saying, 'Hi my name's Jodie Connor'. I just plan to be very busy - touring, releasing music and getting my name out there."
She added: "Hopefully this time next year I will have a number one album."
Connor releases 'Now Or Never' on January 10.
