According to Electronic Beats, the movie has been directed by Luke Losey and will be narrated by Jude Law.
The film is produced by Alcove Entertainment and will arrive in cinemas in spring of this year.
It reportedly "tells the story of a lonely young boy and the journey he takes upon discovering an old oak tree in the garden of his family home. The short is a beautiful, fantasy tale capturing the nature of the childhood experiences".
Artwork from The Boy In The Oak features at an exhibition at Foyle's on Charing Cross Road from January 17 to January 31.
