Arctic Monkeys reportedly hope to release their fourth album before the end of the year.

According to NME, the James Ford-produced follow-up to 2009's Humbug could be on the shelves by late spring.

The group are believed to have started recording in London at the end of last year and have now moved to Los Angeles to continue work on the project.

Last year, Miles Kane confirmed plans to record a second album with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner as The Last Shadow Puppets.
