Organisers revealed the newly-designed prize today, which was created by 69-year-old fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.
The statue to has been updated from its monochrome design to having a vintage-style union flag draped around it, while the bronze helmet is embossed with Westwood's official logo.
The re-design is expected to become to an annual event, as The Guardian reports organisers hope the "blank canvas" trophy will be restyled each year by leading designers.
Chairman of the awards and CEO of Universal Music in the UK, David Joseph, said: "Vivienne stands for all the things we want to inspire in tomorrow's generation of artists. She continues to be unique, innovative, not to mention massively inspired by music and vice versa.
"We are honoured she accepted our offer of designing 2011's trophy."
The event has undergone a massive overhaul this year, having moved from Earls Court to the O2 Arena and scrapping the outstanding contribution award to create more focus on the album of the year prize.
The Brit Awards will take place on February 15.
