Lil Wayne deletes Twitter account

Lil Wayne has deleted his Twitter account after falling victim to a hacker over the weekend.

The hacker had sent tweets to hip hop stars including 50 Cent and The Game.

Soulja Boy was the recipient of a message insulting the poor sales figures of his latest album DeAndre Way.

The hacker wrote: "I sent a donations [sic] to your Paypal, check it, I heard you got 13,000 sales lil homie, I feel bad for you!"

Lil Wayne's account was also hacked last year, provoking an angry outburst from the rapper: "I was just mad that somebody went on my Twitter, like that’s my personal Twitter!"
