The rapper, who is working on the follow-up to his debut Thank Me Later, said he was inspired by the A. A. Milne character after recently buying a set of early editions of the books.
"I bought the first-ever Winnie the Pooh books, like all four Winnie the Pooh books. It cost me a lot of pounds, man. I probably could have bought a small car for that,” Rap Up quotes him as saying.
Discussing the character's influence on him, he told BBC Radio 1: "They were a huge part of my childhood. Winnie the Pooh is like super not hip-hop. That’s my influence, man, Winnie the Pooh on this next album."
Drake recently revealed that he will release a joint album with Lil Wayne in the near future.
