Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep' currently has a narrow lead over last week's chart-topper 'Grenade' by Mars, who slips to two, with less than 300 copies separating them.
Elsewhere in the top ten, Traktor's 'Wretch 32' stands at number four, while Diddy-Dirty Money's 'Coming Home' lands at five.
Britney Spears's 'Hold It Against Me' enters at six after its rush-release, and Aggro Santos and Kimberley Walsh's 'Like U Like' debuts at number seven.
Other notable new entries include Jodie Connor's 'Now Or Never' at 12, Avril Lavigne's 'What The Hell' at 34, and Pitbull and T-Pain's 'Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor)' at 38.
On the album chart, Bruno Mars looks certain to take pole position with his debut Doo Wops and Hooligans, while White Lies currently stand at two with Ritual.
The King Is Dead from the Decemberists enters at 13, and Ana Calvi's self-titled debut lands at 31.
The official chart is announced on Sunday between 4pm and 7pm.
