The actress can currently be seen playing a singer in the movie Country Strong, and recently showed off her singing skills in an episode of Glee.
Writing on her Twitter account, Clarkson said: "Gwyneth Paltrow please make an album. You have such an honest and captivating voice!"
Paltrow performed her own tracks in Country Strong and also took to the stage at last year's CMA Awards to perform the movie's title track. She later admitted to seeking singing tips from both Faith Hill and Beyoncé, and will showcase her singing skills again in a second episode of Glee this year.
Clarkson is currently working on the follow-up to her All I Ever Wanted album, and added to her Twitter followers that rumours about the project's new title are untrue. "I don't know why people keep calling my new album 'May' but that's the worst title ever and is NOT the title of my new album haha (sic)."
