The AP reports that they will be joined by John Legend, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Willie Nelson when the concert series kicks off in May.
Local New Orleans musicians including the Neville Brothers, Dr. John and Mystikal will also perform across the event's 12 stages.
The festival has celebrated both popular and international music trends for more than four decades by inviting artists as diverse as Neil Young, Tony Bennett and Buckwheat Zydeco to appear in years past.
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is held from April 29 to May 1 and resumes from May 5 to May 8 at the city's Fair Grounds Race Course.
