Jimmy Barnes has revealed that he will be releasing a charity CD with his family to help raise money for the Queensland flood appeal.

The Cold Chisel singer, together with his musician son David Campbell, daughters Mahalia and EJ Barnes, brother John Swan, brother-in-law Diesel and son-in-law Ben Rodgers, have produced a 16-track album that includes unreleased live recordings from the Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

Campbell told the Herald Sun: "Like most Australians, once I saw what was happening, I wanted to help.

"The concept [of the album] was my dad's idea and it's our family doing our bit to help other families."
