The singer, who is recording her sophomore set in LA, updated fans with the progress of the record via her Twitter page.
She wrote: "Good day in the studio! I think that's the quickest I've written a song and layed down all the vocals-feel out of sync!"
She later revealed that she was working in the studio with Diane Warren, who is best known for writing Toni Braxton's 'Un-Break My Heart', Sugababes' 'Too Lost In You' and Cher's 'Just Like Jesse James'.
Vickers said: "In the studio today with the lovely Diane warren," adding: "First time in ages I feel really relaxed in myself.very nice feeling."
The star's debut Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree topped the charts in April last year. Her last single 'My Wicked Heart' peaked at number 13 on the UK singles chart.
