Emily Eavis directed her Twitter followers to the event's official website, where news about a possible resale for the 'sold-out' festival was confirmed.
"We do expect that some people who secured tickets in the first sale will choose not to pay their balance, and have their deposit refunded," the site read. "Any returned tickets will be made available in a resale."
Asked when a resale might occur, the site continued: "We don’t know for sure yet, but April is looking likely. As soon as we know, we’ll post full info here (well in advance of the sale)."
Balances on existing deposits from UK festivalgoers must be paid between April 1 and midnight April 7 for tickets to be claimed. International buyers will have from February 25 until March 3.
