Adele covered The Cure to ease homesickness

Adele has revealed that she decided to cover The Cure's 'Lovesong' for her new album while feeling homesick in LA.
The double Grammy winner, who hails from Tottenham in north London, dedicated her version of the song to her mother, who took her to see Robert Smith's band play live at Finsbury Park for her first ever gig.
"It's such a touching song. [My version] is all one take, it's very raw and I'm really sad in it because I'm missing home," Adele recalled.
"The whole experience of being in Malibu with [producer] Rick Rubin was really overwhelming - not in a sad way, but I felt kind of heavy because of it all. That song kind of set me free a bit and I sang it for mum."
Adele, whose 21 album is on course to top Sunday's singles chart, also expressed relief that her rendition of 'Lovesong' - a US no.2 hit for The Cure in 1989 - was not harmed by vocal difficulties she suffered during recording.
"My voice had gone, which I was a bit kind of paranoid about, but it actually suits the song really, really well," she said.
