The singer, who has sold over five million albums, insisted that she is proud of her musical achievements, yet would feel like a "champion w****r" if she put them on display.
"My gold discs are hidden in a cupboard up in Scotland," she told Q Magazine. "I just can't put them out.
"I'd feel such a champion w**ker. I'm really glad I've got them and proud of my achievements, but I don't find gold discs inspiring."
She added: "Maybe I'll change my mind one day and have a bog that's just all discs. But not yet."
Last year the '(Still A) Weirdo' star admitted that she suffered a "confidence crash" while recording her latest album Tiger Suit.
