The singer, whose sophomore album 21 entered at number one yesterday with over 200,000 copies sold - the first album in five years to do so in January - admitted that she was relieved to have found success with her second offering.
"Some people have come back with second records and no-one's liked them so I feel like the best blagger in the world,” she told BBC's Newsbeat.
The 'Chasing Pavements' star added that she was "over the moon" with the reported sales figures, insisting that she "wasn't expecting it".
Pop star Lily Allen recently congratulated the singer on her album's success, adding: "[It's] so good when good things happen to nice people".
