Okereke previously told Eye magazine that he was working on an "erotic memoir detailing my experiences with groupies over the last five years".
Referencing an article from The Guardian, the Bloc Party frontman wrote: "guess which part of this news story is true and which part isnt? i really need to stop being so naughty in interviews but i cant help it. yes i am writing a book, its not about groupies. its about bicycles (sic)."
Okereke recently told NME that he is moving to Manhattan to finish the project, adding that there were no plans to reform Bloc Party. "I'm just focused on the book at the moment," he said.
Okereke previously spent time in New York while recording his solo album The Boxer which was released last year.
