The French DJ, who has allegedly recorded a "cool song" with the 'Yeah!' star, also insisted that Usher is the first urban artist to ever approach him about combining the genres of R&B and dance.
In a YouTube clip filmed backstage on Usher's 'OMG' tour, Guetta said: "This whole movement of creating a bridge between urban and electronic music...we started this with Akon, Kelly Rowland and the [Black Eyed] Peas - that was my concept.
"I have to say that Usher before anyone came to me and asked me if we could worked together and we never had the opportunity to do it but we met many times and he was one of the first to think about it."
He continued: "We just never had the chance to make it happen. But we're going to do it tonight!"
Usher plays his final London gig at the O2 Arena tonight.
