The singer has been nominated in the 'Best Male Pop Vocal' category for his track 'Whataya Want From Me', taken from debut album For Your Entertainment.
In a message posted on his official Twitter account, he said: "For all those who are asking, no, unfortunately I'm not performing at the Grammys. Also, I don't think my category is televised. I AM, however, going to have a great time! :) (sic)"
The 29-year-old, who recently wrapped a worldwide tour, previously told The Hollywood Reporter that he was "excited" to have received a nomination, adding that he hoped it would give him "credibility as a true vocalist in this industry".
He faces competition in the category from Michael Bublé's 'Haven't Met You Yet', Bruno Mars's 'Just The Way You Are', Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' and John Mayer's 'Half Of My Heart'.
In a separate post on his Twitter feed on Thursday, Lambert also revealed that he is planning to release a "revamped" version of his album track 'Aftermath', with proceeds going to The Trevor Project.
"Wait 'till you hear it," he wrote. "It's now a hot pop dance anthem... No set release date... Putting finishing touches on the track. Stay tuned..."
The Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on February 13.
