It will be the Rolling Stones frontman's first appearance live on the Grammys stage, although he previously featured in the 1986 ceremony via video link.
Jagger will be joined by Raphael Saadiq and his band to pay tribute to soul singer Solomon Burke, who died last year aged 70.
Jagger and Saadiq join performers including Arcade Fire, Lady GaGa, Muse, Katy Perry and Cee Lo Green.
Organisers also confirmed that Selena Gomez, Nicki Minaj and Norah Jones will appear at the ceremony to present awards.
