According to a post on his official website, the 'Veronica' singer's upcoming series of concerts are to be reminiscent of a TV gameshow with the titles of 40 of his most popular tracks adorning a giant wheel.
Select audience members will be allowed onto the stage to spin the wheel and Costello's band will then perform whichever song the wheel lands on.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee first adopted the 'Spinning Songbook' concept while touring to support his Blood & Chocolate LP in 1986.
Costello has released more than 30 albums since first emerging as part of London's punk rock scene in the 1970s.
The 'Revolver' tour kicks off on May 7 in Reno, NV.
