The ex-Oasis guitarist told TalkSport that he is yet to lay down any music for his first record as a solo artist.
Gallagher said: "I am not recording new stuff, not just yet, and it'll be out when it's finished I guess. Well, I've not even started it, so I don't know.
"I'd have thought probably if anything comes out it'll be later rather than sooner."
Of reports that he had secured the rights to the noelgallagher.com domain name, he confirmed: "Yeah, that actually happened over a year ago."
During the interview, Gallagher also described Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing On Ice as "utterly repulsive, ridiculous programmes".
Last Shadow Puppets star Miles Kane recently claimed to have played guitar on a track for Gallagher's solo LP.
Meanwhile, actress and Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen has told M is for Music that she would "love to write with Noel Gallagher".
