In an interview with Vogue, the 'Alejandro' singer asserted that she deserves praise for being a musical innovator.
"Speaking purely from a musical standpoint, I think I am a great performer," she said. "I am a talented entertainer. I consider myself to have one of the greatest voices in the industry."
GaGa went on to say that she does not believe there is anything wrong with being "confident" in one's abilities.
She explained: "I consider myself to be one of the greatest songwriters. I wouldn't say that I am one of the greatest dancers, but I am really quite good at what I do. I think it's okay to be confident in yourself."
Since releasing her debut single 'Just Dance' in 2008, GaGa has scored seven US Top 10 hits.
It was reported earlier today that the musician's second single from her upcoming LP Born This Way is titled 'Judas'.
