During Sunday's awards telecast, Aguilera, Florence Welch, Jennifer Hudson, Martina McBride and Yolanda Adams performed a medley of Franklin's popular hits, including 'Respect' and 'Think'.
Speaking to CNN, the soul singer revealed that she was delighted to have received recognition from several of today's top female musicians.
"A friend of mine... made me a banana pudding and I was sitting right in front of my flat screen watching everything and loving it," she asserted.
The star continued: "I really loved what Yolanda Adams did with 'Spirit in the Dark’ and Christina Aguilera was into it and Jennifer [Hudson] was good… Everybody was good!"
Franklin released her debut single 'Never Grow Old' in 1956 and has since notched 17 US top 10 singles and seven platinum-selling albums.
It was previously reported that Aguilera suffered a tumble while exiting the stage following the Franklin tribute.
