In an interview with AOL Music, the band's frontwoman Hayley Williams said that following their current South American tour, the group would record several new tracks which would come out ahead of their next record.
"When we get back [from tour], we're hoping to record a batch of songs to release over the summer," she said.
"All the details aren't worked out yet, but we definitely do want to release ['In the Mourning'] and some other ones before we put out a record."
Williams went on to say that newest track 'In the Mourning - of which she posted a demo via her blog last month - should not cause fans to worry that they've left their heavier rock roots behind.
"It's not a great indication of all the songs. Just maybe a good indication of the growth we're experiencing right now," she said.
"There will definitely be some heavy songs on there."
