The London-born singer - who last Sunday became the first living act since The Beatles to appear twice in both the singles and album charts top five - notched up a fifth week in pole position with her sophomore record, while 19 climbs two places to the runner up spot in its 102nd week of release.
Adele becomes the first act to hold the top two places in the album chart since The Corrs in March 1999, when Talk On Corners and Forgiven, Not Forgotten landed at one and two.
Just behind Adele is the fourth compilation album from the Glee cast, which is the week's highest new entry at four, while Cee Lo Green, whose song 'Forget You' featured prominently in the Fox comedy's latest UK episode, climbs two spots to nine with The Lady Killer.
Rounding out the top 10 is Outta This World by JLS, which leaps comfortably back into the upper half of the chart after finishing at 20 last week.
Also bumping up the listings this week are Chase & Status, advancing one digit to 11 with No More Idols, while Pink makes it four climbers in a row with her Greatest Hits So Far, which is at 12 from last week's 19.
Brit Award favourites Take That slip six places with Progress after a temporary return to the top 10, landing one spot ahead of a new entry from Justin Bieber, Never Say Never: The Remixes, at 17.
