The 'Kidz' singer spoke about the emotional drain Take That placed on him back in the early '90s.
"I think every person's job either feeds them or takes from them," he told The Sunday Times. "Take That, for me, the first time, took from me. It gave me money, it gave me a standard of living, but it robbed me of my voice.
"To come back as an older adult, on my guard a bit and wiser, I know it sounds melodramatic, but it's like there's this thing up there, and we can all give to it and get back from it, and it shines into us, and we can all grow from it."
In the same piece, Robbie Williams spoke of how the band managed to get over their "s**t" with each other, explaining that they all "owned it", which allowed them to "move on".
Orange previously claimed that he did not want Williams's return to the band to be recorded for a documentary.
