Ronan Keating has announced that he has teamed up with composer Burt Bacharach for his new album.

The Boyzone singer is due to release the album, titled When Ronan Met Burt, later this month in time for Mother's Day.

The Irish singer is said to be thrilled to have worked with the composer and have recorded the album with a full orchestra, reports Stereoboard. The record is due to include tracks from Bacharach's 50-year career, including 'Walk On By' and 'The Look Of Love'.

Speaking of the collaboration Keating commented: "It has been a dream come true to work with Burt on this album."

"I grew up listening to his songs and the tracks we've chosen to record for the album are simply some of the greatest pop masterpieces ever written, so it was an honour to sing them alongside the man himself."

When asked about the recording sessions he replied: "It was one of the hardest sessions I've done. It's hard enough trying to do justice to such legendary tunes but to record them with the man himself was another level of pressure."

When Ronan Met Burt will be Keating's seventh solo album and is due to be released March 21.
