The 10-year-old 'Whip My Hair' star told of how she nodded off "for about ten minutes" during a meeting with Jay-Z and record executives at Roc Nation.
"I didn't miss anything good," she explained to Radio 1's The Scott Mills Show.
"I only missed the parts where he was explaining to mum and dad where I'm going and when the single's going to drop. I suppose that's important."
Smith's second single '21st Century Girl' was recently premiered and is due out March 6 in the UK.
The singer is currently supporting Justin Bieber on the UK leg of his tour, with the Canadian teen stating that he is "excited" to have her on board.
